Tattoos for the Individual was started in the early 1990’s by Kurt Wiscombe in Thompson, Manitoba, Canada.
The shop in Winnipeg on Portage Ave. was established in 1996 by Kurt Wiscombe and Alex Adams.

With many years of tattooing experience the artists at Tattoos for the Individual constantly strive to push the boundaries of their art and put it to skin on a dedicated group of people who come from near and far to have tattoos done by them.

Kurt Wiscombe, Shayla Mckinney, Courtney Weddall and Jack Witt Jr. each have their own unique artistic vision and the different styles they work in can be seen here in our Artist Galleries. We invite you to take a tour of our website so that you may get an idea of the type of work they do.

At Tattoos for the Individual, we believe that a tattoo should be a safe and positive experience and therefore we keep a clean shop and are pro-active in keeping with the standards of medical sterilization and universal precautions.

Aside from tattooing, Kurt, Shayla, Courtney and Jack work in other art mediums and are constantly working on new and exciting art projects.
